Task:-My experience of studying Jane Austen's sense and sensibility.

=> Introduction:-

         "Sense and sensibility" is a romantic novel written by Jane Austen.which was published in 1811. This novel is considered one of the most important works of English literature. This novel tells the story of two sisters, who are the Deshwood family sisters, with Elinor Deshwood representing "sense" and Marianne Deshwood representing "sensibility".

=>Jane Austen:-

        Jane Austen was one of the greatest English novelist,born on 16 December,1775 in steventon, England .

She came from a lower gertry family and never married, living a quiet family life with her sister Cassandra. She started writing at a very young age and wrote six famous novels :-

      Her novel were published anonymously as "By a Lady". Her writing style is famous for irony,realism, and strong female characters. Jane Austen died young at the age of 41 on 18, July 1817.=> About characters:-

   There are two major characters in this novel, Elinor and Marianne. And also many serval characters are there. Elinor is the elder sister. This is the heroine of the novel. She represents sense, which means reality and self -control. She is patient, responsible, loyal and clam person.

Marianne is Elinor 's younger sister 

She represents sensibility, which means feeling and passions. She is an emotional, 

enthusiastic, honest and open - mainded person. Margaret is the good- humored youngest sister. Mrs.Dashwood is kind, emotionally, expressive mother of the three girls.John Deshwood is kind and gentle person. Fanny Deshwood is a selfish, hypocriticaland greed character.Mrs.fearras was an arrogant , proudand greedy woman who is always connected about high social status and money.Edward fearras is fanny 's brother.he is a kind , and gentle person. Robert fearras is a proud , selfish and concerned young man.Mrs. jennings- A Good -natured ,gossipy and match making neighbor. Sir John Middleton is loyal, kind-hearted , friendly and gentle man. Lady Middleton, Mr.and Mrs.palmer. Lucy steel is cunning , selfish, and greedy who wants money and prestige.John willoughby is handsome and selfish man.Colonel Brandon is a kind and gentle man.who falls in love with Marianne and altimately marries her.

      This novel is very good from which I got to know, understand and learn about many things. The title of the novel sense and sensibility., which means that both are hot opposed to each other, but both are important. This novel teaches us how to live our human lives and how to overcome difficulties.

     The  main characters of this novel are two, Elinor in Marianne. In which Elinor represents the senses from which I learn about reality, reason, self -control how to live in life. But Marianne was emotional honest and open mind from which we learn that we should remain open -minded so that the problems that arise can be resolved well and easily.

       These two characters represents sense and sensibility, which is why it is important to represents sense and sensibility in how we move forward in our lives.

   When I first read to sister, I thought is was just a story about two sister getting marriaged, but as I read it, I realised that these to sisters are shown the difficulties of new real life ,and I learned a lot from them. It shows social conditions and situations the characters face during this romantic period. 

          We have learned that we should not trust anyone too quickly. Because the one we trust. Then we have to be sad and disappointed. When Willoughby finally leaves Maria and goes away, he also apologizes.

          I don't like Fanny's character at all. Because she is a selfish woman, she harasses Miss Desho Wood and her three daughters. But Miss Desho Wood tolerates her. But from this I learned that if we want to fight against a bad person, we should first tolerate and be patient and then face it.

       Finally, the teacher from Anwar's story taught me that we should be understanding and sensitive in our lives. If we are more than each other, it becomes the cause of our problems.

        I learned that both understanding and sensitivity are useful for our life. We should not rely on the emotions of the mind. But we should live our life based on reality, reason and self-control, this novel wants to teach.
